Prepare your email connection

1. Create or sign in to your own Resend account.
2. Add a business domain you control and follow Resend’s DNS verification steps.
3. Open your workspace Settings → Email Domains and connect the Resend account. Enter the API key privately in the connection settings.
4. Choose sending only, or configure receiving with the required mail-routing records and webhook. Use the setup checks shown in NuvoMail to confirm readiness.
5. Create your employee and shared addresses and accept the sending policy before sending.

Keep existing mailboxes working

Sending-only setup can work alongside Google Workspace or Microsoft 365. For receiving, use a dedicated subdomain when you want existing mailboxes to keep their current routing. Changing the main domain’s receiving records changes where new mail is delivered.

NuvoMail organizes messages that pass through this connection. Historical mailbox imports are not currently supported. Resend fees and limits are separate from your NuvoMail plan.
